AIDS Community Services of Western New York, Inc. (ACS) was founded in 1983 with a staff of one and a $30,000 budget. Today ACS employs over 125 highly skilled individuals, manages a budget of $7 million, and provides region-wide services out of three facilities. ACS is the largest and most comprehensive community based provider of HIV/AIDS care and prevention services in all eight counties of Western New York, and is a model in comprehensive care nationwide. ACS provides services to over 1400 families from three service sites:
Central Office at 206 South Elmwood at Chippewa, Buffalo, New York 14201.
The Victorian at 200 South Elmwood Avenue, Buffalo, New York 14201 in the heart of the Lower West Side, predominantly Hispanic community.
Southern Tier Services at 111 W. 2nd St. Jamestown, New York 14701 serving the three rural Southern Tier Counties of Allegany, Cattaraugus and Chautauqua.
