Moving Forward

In the life of every organization there is a special time—a time described as that very fine moment in history when it makes its move—when it responds with vigor and relevance to the needs of its day—when its morale and vitality are high and when it holds itself to unsparing standards of performance. This is such a time for AIDS Community Services.

In early 2005, AIDS Community Services began planning a bold new venture to build one of the most distinctive projects in the City of Buffalo. This new endeavor is more than dreams, vision and enthusiasm; it is courage and commitment by AIDS Community Services' staff, board members and trustees to advance the care and quality of life for those individuals and families living with the consequences of HIV/AIDS.

Accepting the challenge to move forward, AIDS Community Services has experienced a renewed excitement and enthusiasm. We are energized about the opening of our new Evergreen Center, which will provide new research, education and training opportunities with other local and national organizations and agencies. It will additionally foster high-tech telemedicine education and research alliances with HIV/AIDS specialists both in the United States and worldwide.

Please consider making a difference in the local fight against HIV/AIDS. In order to make this dream happen we need your help generating $2.5 million towards our $7 million project. Join me in our pursuit to ensure this dream becomes a reality. On behalf of everyone your gift will touch, my heartfelt thanks for your support.
