AIDS Association

 

The AIDS Association of Western New York, Inc is the parent corporation of AIDS Community Services as well as Alainza Latina and the Evergreen Foundation, ACS’ fundraising division. The members of the AIDS Association Board oversee and provide direction for all programs and activities of these three agencies. Its Mission Statement reads:

“The mission of The AIDS Association of Western New York, Inc. will be to assure the availability of comprehensive services and programs that contribute to the health and quality of life of individuals and families affected by AIDS in Western New York.

To accomplish this, The Association will provide the following management services to the members of The Association:

1.           Development and monitoring of Strategic Long Range Plans;

2.           Development and monitoring of agency specific policies;

3.           Development, oversight, and monthly reporting on all budgets, including cost accounting and auditing;

4.           Assistance in developing new programs, including grant writing;

5.           Supervision, training and evaluation of senior management (Vice Presidents and Directors) of member agencies;

6.           Assistance in participation in and evaluation of community coalitions and affiliations.
